A topic that recently gained so much attention is: "How do I get successful on social platforms, especially Instagram?"
In my opinion there is no "Golden rule" or "Ultimate guideline" to grow on Instagram.
One question I asked myself about few months ago is: Why do I post on Instagram?
Actually you have to decide whether you would like to show off your life, to share your personal highlights, to make business, or whatever.
I guess this is the most important question Instagramers have to ask themselves!
Our today's life offers so much possibilities to live creativity, to be free and fulfil oneself. A friend asked me one day why it is important for me to have a large community and as many followers as possible, and we both struggled by finding the right answer!
Finally I want to take my followers with me on my adventure and would make them a part of it! When I decided to investigate on photography and all the creative stuff, my everyday aspiration was to improve my skills with every photo I take. That's one of the reasons why I am dissatisfied with my photographs of past travels when I arrived back from a recent trip. Anyway. Back on topic.
I guess you agree that positive feedback and a growing community contribute to a better personal feeling. And that's the key! Build up a community and be part of the game! The Instagame! If you see nice photographers, show them some love as you you'd like to have! Follow them, like their stuff, and give them feedback!
You'll notice how your skills will improve, how your attitude to your passion changes, how your community grows, and and and.....
Furthermore I think the Instagram algorithm is something real in my eyes but no one will be able to understand or discribe it! I am sure of it! (no more words needed)
Positive side effect? You will meet so many nice people out there which share your passion and love to discuss about photography, Instagram and how to open a beer!
One important thing: I am not a big fan of the Follow/Unfollow game and I would like to ask you to never even think about this! By the way: Ghost follower won't help you to get successful! (I made this experience myself)
My final words are: Give other artists what you would love to have!
Over and out!
